The Writing on the Wall (1983) is a children's novel by Leon Garfield, illustrated by Michael Bragg.

Abstract

Samuel, a kitchen-boy in Babylon, serves Belshazzar, the King, and his guests at the feast during which God delivers a message to Belshazzar which is interpreted by Daniel.
