Emanuele Testa (1923-2011) was an Italian scholar.

Biography

Emanuele Testa was born on 19 February 1923 at Maceratola di Foligno (near Perugia), Italy.

After joining the Fransciscan order, he graduated in Theology (1959) from the Pontificia Università Urbaniana; and in Holy Scripture (1962) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute. He was Professor of Old Testament at the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum (1957-1993).

He died in Assisi, Italy on January 13, 2011.
