Richard Laurence (1760-1838) was a British scholar.

Biography

Hebraist, Anglican Churchman. Was made Regius Professor of Hebrew and canon of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1814, and Archbishop of Cashel, Ireland, in 1822. Revived the study of Ethiopic in England and published the editio princeps of several Jewish Pseudepigrapha, with Latin and English translations.
