The Sacred Bones (2007) is a novel by Michael Byrnes.

Abstract

When an ancient burial ossuary is stolen from beneath Jerusalem's Temple Mount and delivered to the Vatican, forensic scientist Charlotte Hennesey is hired to conduct highly sensitive genetic tests on the two-thousand-year-old bones. Followed by The Sacred Blood (2008).
