Ernst Käsemann (1906-1998) was a German scholar.

Biography

Lutheran theologian and NT scholar. PhD in New Testament (1931) at the University of Marburg (where he studied with Rudolf Karl Bultmann). Professor of New Testament at the Universities of Mainz (1946-1951), Göttingen (1951-1959) and Tübingen (1959-1971).
