Levi Herzfeld (1810-1884) was a German Jewish scholar.

Biography

Rabbi and historian. Graduated from the University of Berlin (1833-1836), while completing his Rabbinical studies. Professor at Brunswick. As a rabbi advocated a moderate reform of Judaism, while remaining a strict observant of the traditions. One of the first to pay attention to economic aspects of Jewish history.
