{en} The Son of Tarzan [1] (serial; USA, 1920-1921), directed by Harry Revier, starring Gordon Griffith & Kamuela C. Searle (Korak), Mae Giraci & Manilla Martan (Meriem), P. Dempsey Tabler (Tarzan), Karla Schramm (Jane). <15 episodes>

Tarzan's son, Jack, escapes captivity and retreats into the jungle with an ape, where he finds love in unexpected places.

Tarzan's son, Jack, having been kidnapped and taken to Africa by Tarzan's old enemy, Paulovich, escapes captivity and retreats into the jungle with 'Ajax', an ape whose real name is Akut and who was a boyhood friend of Jack's father. Jack is given the Ape name 'Korak', which means 'Killer' in Ape language. Korak rescues Meriem, a young French girl, from Arab slave traders, and together they grow up in the jungle. But will 'Korak' and Meriem ever be reunited with their parents? <BoyActors>

The serial was the first to present a recap of previous chapters pictorially rather than through a written synopsis. The pictorial review of earlier chapters henceforth became a common feature of movie serials.
