Christ the Redeemer (1931) is a monumental statue by Heitor da Silva Costa and Paul Landowski.
The largest art deco statue in the world stands 39.6 meters (130 ft) tall. The inner structure is built out of reinforced cement, while the outer layers are soapstone.
