Luigi Albertieri (1860-1930) -- Dancer, choreographer

Born in Milan (Italy), Luigi Albertieri was trained as a dancer at La Scala in Milan. He performed in Italy and England. He made his debut at the met in 1895 and became its first male ballet star. His reputation grew even more as a dance teacher in New York City.
