He was a refugee in France at [[Chateau de La Guette]] Six La Guette boys who were in school at École Pratique d’Artisanat Rural in Brive-laGaillard (Corrèze) were arrested in August of 1942. Fritz Dawid, Walter Loeb, Herbert Menkes, Georg Reichenfeld, Heinrich Rosenthal, and Ludwig Scheucher were sent to Nexon and then to the internment camp Drancy and deported on 26 Aug 1942. Ludwig Scheucher was the only to survive.

Biography

Ludwig Scheucher (9 Jan 1926) was born in Berlin, Germany, to Alexander and Agnes. He was a refugee in France at Chateau de La Guette Six La Guette boys who were in school at École Pratique d’Artisanat Rural in Brive-laGaillard (Corrèze) were arrested in August of 1942. Fritz Dawid, Walter Loeb, Herbert Menkes, Georg Reichenfeld, Heinrich Rosenthal, and Ludwig Scheucher were sent to Nexon and then to the internment camp Drancy and deported on 26 Aug 1942. Ludwig Scheucher was the only to survive.
