{en} The Soul of Youth [1] (USA, 1920), directed by William Desmond Taylor, starring Lewis Sargent, Lila Lee
The story of an orphan boy who, due to the cruelty of others, is drawn into a life of sin on the streets prior to the redemption of a caring foster family.
Ed Simpson (Lewis Sargent), unloved as a child, is introduced into an orphanage, where his liveliness leads to his being menaced by officials. Love first comes into his life when he acquires a dog; and when it is ousted from the orphanage, he follows, taking to the streets with his pal Mike (Ernest Butterworth Jr.).
