The Josephus Colloquium is the name of a series of international conferences devoted to the study of the figure and works of Flavius Josephus.

History

The first "Josephus Colloquium" gathered in San Miniato [Italy] in memory of Morton Smith at the invitation of Fausto Parente and Joseph Sievers. From 1997 to 2002, the Internationales Josephus-Kolloquium met annually under the chairship of Folker Siegert and Jürgen U. Kalms. Additional meetings of the Josephus Colloquium were held in Rome (2003), Dublin (2004), and Haifa (2006).
