In 1490 [[Domenico Ghirlandaio]] completed its decoration with a cycle of frescoes illustrating nine episodes from the life of Mary of Nazareth [marked in green on the map], and eight episodes from the Life of John the Baptist [in red]. The frescoes were made to decorate the right wall of the Tornabuoni Chapel, the main chapel in the church of Santa Maria Novella, Florence [Italy].
