Johann Maier (1933-2019), scholar

Johann Maier (b.1933) is an Austrian scholar and a specialists in Second Temple and Qumran Studies. He was founder and for thirty years director of the Martin Buber Institute for Jewish Studies at the University of Cologne, until his retirement in 1996.
