Hendrikus Boers (1928-2007) was an South-African American scholar. Born February 3, 1928 in Ermelo, South Africa, he attended the University of Pretoria (B.A. 1952, M.A. 1955, B.D. 1956) and the University of Bonn (Doctor of Theology, 1962). After completing his doctoral degree, Boers joined the Faculty of Candler School of Theology, where he served as Professor of New Testament until his retirement in 1997.
