Scenes from the Life of Jesus (1320) is a cycle of frescoes by Unknown Artist (Master of Sant'Abbondio), at the Basilica di Sant'Abbondio, Como, Lombardy, Italy.
Overview
The frescoes at Sant'Abbondio were completed sometime between 1315 and 1324, under the patronage of the Franciscan Bishop Leone Lambertenghi, to decorate the apse of the Basilica of Sant'Abbondio, Como, Lombardy, Italy. It is one of the best-preserved cycles of frescoes from the Middle Ages in Northern Italy.
