While both Titus and his brother Domitian fell in love with her, but Berenice was faithful to her sweetheart Izotes. While Titus was virtuous and respectful, Domitian was lustful and wicked. After Izotes died to protect her lover, Berenice disappeared and Titus was dejected.

Abstract

The character of Berenice is developed with no regard for any of the known facts of history. While both Titus and his brother Domitian fell in love with her, but Berenice was faithful to her sweetheart Izotes. While Titus was virtuous and respectful, Domitian was lustful and wicked. After Izotes died to protect her lover, Berenice disappeared and Titus was dejected.
