Salome (1978) is an ballet by Peter Maxwell Davies (mus.) and Flemming Flindt (chor.).

Abstract

Follows the biblical story, but concludes with an apotheosis in which Salome and John the Baptist meet as lovers in an afterlife.

Original cast

The performance was filmed and shown on national television.
