Die evangelische Geschichte, kritisch und philophisch bearbeitet (1838) is a book by Christian Hermann Weisse.

Abstract

After Lachmann had argued in 1835 that Mark had to be seen as the earliest gospel, Weisse is credited for formulating the two-document hypothesis to explain the synoptic problem.
