The International Organization for Qumran Studies was founded in the summer of 1989 in Groningen at an international conference on the Dead Sea Scrolls, at the iniative of [[Florentino Garcia Martinez]].

The International Organization for Qumran Studies (IOQS) is an international academic society, devoted to the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

History

The International Organization for Qumran Studies was founded in the summer of 1989 in Groningen at an international conference on the Dead Sea Scrolls, at the iniative of Florentino Garcia Martinez.
