Abstract
«Fantaisie biblique en 4 tableaux».
Like Sue's novel, on which it is based, tells of the legend of the Jerusalem shopkeeper who refused to let Jesus rest at his door while on his way to Calvary, and thus is doomed to wander the world forever. While Christ appears in a vision, the damned is struck by Satan and assaulted by the wind, flashes of water and lightning.
The curse of the Wandering Jew is told in four scenes:

- 2. « La vision du Christ escaladant le sommet du Golgotha»
- 3. « Les roches maudites »
- 4. « Les éléments déchaînés ».
