In 1977 the 6th volume of the DJD series appeared with more fragments from Cave 4; it remained the only volume published in the series in the decade. The same year the [[Temple Scroll]] (discovered probably in 1956) was first published by [[Yigael Yadin]]; it shifted the emphasis from the theological to the legal-halakhic elements of the scrolls.
