Menahem Recanati (1250-1310) was an Italian scholar, rabbi, and cabalist. His cabalistic commentary to the Mosaic Torah (Perush 'al ha-Torah) contains numerous references to the character of Enoch. Giovanni Pico della Mirandola had the work translated into Latin by Jewish convert Guglielmo Raimondo Moncada (Flavius Mithridates) in 1486. The Hebrew text was first printed in Venice in 1523.
