Richard Laurence (1760-1838) was a British scholar, Hebraist, Anglican Churchman, Regius Professor of Hebrew and canon of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1814, and Archbishop of Cashel, Ireland, in 1822. Revived the study of Ethiopic in England and published the editio princeps of several Jewish Pseudepigrapha, with Latin and English translations, including the First Book of Enoch.
