Philip Ferdinand (1555-1598) was a Polish-born British scholar of Jewish descent.

Biography

A converted Jew from Poland, taught at Oxford and Cambridge. His anthology of post-biblical Jewish writings contributed significantly to the knowledge of this literature in England. Then moved to Leiden at the invitation of Joseph Scaliger.
