== Biography ==

Issac "Peter" Brandstein was born in 1929 in Bustina, Ruthenia, Slovakia (now Ukraine), to Eugene and Rosa.

The family was deported to [[Auschwitz]]. Isaac was the only to survive. He was transferred to Magdeburg and [[Bergen-Belsen]], where he was liberated.

After the war, he was among the [[Belgicka Children]] who were brought to England in March 1946. 

He was never fully able to recover from the traumas of the war. Spent his entire life in England.
