'''Hester Thomsen''' (1914-2001) was an American novelist. A minister's wife, Hester Thomsen was trained as a chemist. She taught largely on the secondary level for 37 years. She also worked six seasons as pottery registrar at the Heshbon excavation and taught archaeology. Her only novel on [[Hagar]], posthumously published in 2003, was the culmination of 25 years of investigation.
