Hester Thomsen (1914-2001) was an American novelist. A minister's wife, Hester Thomsen was trained as a chemist. She taught largely on the secondary level for 37 years. She also worked six seasons as pottery registrar at the Heshbon excavation and taught archaeology. Her only novel on Hagar, posthumously published in 2003, was the culmination of 25 years of investigation.
