Vuk Stefanović Karadžić

Vuk Stefanović Karadžić / Вук Стефановић Караџић (1787-1864) was a Serbian scholar, philologist and linguist, the major reformer of the Serbian language. In 1847 he published the translation of the New Testament into Serbian and in 1868, with Đuro Daničić, completed the Serbian edition of the whole Bible.
