Von den Jüden und jren Lügen (1543) is a book by Martin Luther.

Abstract

Luther's treatise is notorious for its antisemitism against contemporary Jews. It also contains a long and detailed account of Second Temple Judaism, with references to the Maccabean persecution, the Jewish War and the Bar Kokhba revolt. Much of the controversy is built around the interpretation of the Book of Daniel. Second Temple Judaism is described as a period of sin, decadence, and divine punishment. The Jews "have deserved" to be oppressed for what they did at that time.
