Vespasiano <Italian> / Vespasian (1724) is an opera, set to music by Attilio Ariosti.

Abstract

Vespasian is proclaimed Emperor by the troops. Despite having been once pardoned by him, Domitian, Vespasian's son, continues plotting to usurp the crown and to ruin his father. Domitian attempts to assassinate Vespasian, who ultimately again pardons him and gives him command of Asia.
