In present-day Jericho three trees are showed as the one on which Zacchaeus climbed.
The first tree is located in the yard of the Catholic Franciscan Convent of the Good Shepherd.
The second tree is a trunk of a very old tree protected by a glass frame, located in the garden of the Greek Orthodox monastery.
The third tree is in the garden of the Holy Land Museum and Russian cultural center, recently erected by the Russian Government.
The House of Zacchaeus
At Jericho the ruins of a large Crusade tower are traditionally called the House of Zacchaeus.
The Tomb of Amadour/Zacchaeus in France
A medieval legend identified Zacchaeus with Saint Amadour and held him to be the husband of Veronica and the founder of the French sanctuary of Rocamadour, where his remains are still venerated.
