Tomaso Garzoni (Ottaviano Garzoni; 1549-1589) was an Italian scholar. Born at Bagnocavallo, near Ravenna, entered the Order of the Canonici Lateranensi in 1566. Studied at Ferrara and SIena. Wrote encyclopedic works, like La piazza universale di tutte le professioni del mondo, Il serraglio de gli Stupori del mondo, and others, which were very popular in his own time.
