Theodor Innitzer (M / Austria, 1875-1955), scholar
Born in Austria, Innitzer joined the catholic priesthood. From 1913 to 1932 he had an academic career as professor of New Testament at the University of Vienna. In 1932 he became Archbishop of Vienna and Cardinal. He remained a controversial figure for his support of the Anschluss and his ambiguous relation with the Nazi regime.
