The Mermaid and the Partridge (2011) is a volume edited by George J. Brooke and Jesper Høgenhaven.

Abstract

"Essays from the Copenhagen Conference on revising texts from Cave Four."

"This is an update on the projected revision of vol. v in the series Discoveries in the Judean Desert published in 1968. Each contributing scholar was invited by the Department of Biblical Exegesis of the University of Copenhagen to meet in Copenhagen in June 2009 and given the opportunity to speak on topics of particular concerns to them regarding the manuscripts for which they have now assumed responsibility. The result reflects the ongoing work on the forthcoming new edition, the development in new approaches and viewpoints since the texts were first published as well as important aspects of present Qumran scholarship."--Publisher's description.
