The Maccabees March (1901) is a musical march by Matthew M. Cook.

Abstract

“Dedicated to the uniform rank KOTM, for band, orchestra, all stringed instruments with piano accompaniments.” The Knights of the Maccabees (KOTM) was a fraternity founded in 1878 in London, Ontario, Canada, which drew inspiration from the example of Judas Maccabeus who ordered his soldiers to reserve a part of their spoils for the widows and orphans of their fallen colleagues. In April 1893 the Order opened its new headquarters in Port Huron, Michigan, USA. In 1962 converted to a life insurance company—the Maccabees Mutual Life Insurance Company.
