The Love That Dares to Speak Its Name (1976) is a poem by James Kirkup.
Abstract
The poem graphically describes a Roman centurion having sex with the dead body of Jesus after his crucifixion, claiming that Jesus had already had sexual relations with him,as well as with many other men. The author and the editor of the magazine were prosecuted and convicted for blasphemy.
