The Fall of Jerusalem (1820) is a play by Henry H. Milman.

Abstract

Milman, whose History of the Jews (1829-30) was noticeable for its philosemitic tolerance, portrayed sympathetically the dilemma of a beautiful Jewish heroine torn between loyalty to her family and love for a young Christian during the siege of Jerusalem. Based on Josephus, the English drama included historical figures, such as the Jewish leaders: Simon, John, and Eleazar.
