The Apology of Aristides on Behalf of the Christians (1891) is a book by J. Rendel Harris and J. Armitage Robinson.

Abstract

Edited "from a Syriac ms. preserved on Mount Sinai' with an introduction and translation by J. Rendel Harris; with an appendix containing the main portion of the original Greek text, by J. Armitage Robinson.

"The original text of the Apology is lost. A recension of it is preserved in the Greek version of the legend of Barlaam and Joasaph (Nachor's speech to the king) Besides the Syriac translation, discovered by P. R. Harris in 1889, a fragment of an Armenian translation exists in two manuscripts which contain the first two chapters./ Includes bibliographical references and indexes."
