Talivaldis Kenins (1919-2008) was an Latvian Canadian composer. Born April 22, 1919 in Liepāja [Latvia], studied music in Riga (1940-44) and Paris (1945-51). In 1951 moved to Canada as organist at the Latvian Lutheran St. Andrews Church in Toronto. In 1952 began teaching at the University of Toronto, where he taught for 32 years. Died January 21, 2008 in Toronto, Canada.
