Szent Biblia (1608) is a book by Albert Szenczi Molnár.

Abstract

Called also "Biblia of Hanau" (based on the locality of the publisher), it is the first revision of the "Vizsolyi Biblia", the first complete translation of the Bible into Hungarian, cp. Szent Biblia (1590 Károli), book. The revision has corrected numerous printing, translating and stylistic problems of its parent text. It still contained the Deuterocanonical books, but separated them from the rest of the Old Testament. At the end of the volume, the Book of Psalms is printed again, with musical notes.

The printing was done in Hanau [Germany], between 2. May and 19. September, 1608, the volume was issued in 1500 exemplars - from which 58 has survived till today. A second edition was issued in Oppenheim [Germany], 1612. A reprint edition was published in Budapest, 1998.
