Overview

Published in 1478, Daniel Vives' Valencian Bible is the third known printed translation of the Bible in a modern language, after the German edition by Johannes Mentelin in 1466, and the Italian edition by Niccolò Malermi in 1471. It was also was based on the Latin text of the Vulgata.
