Salome (1995) is a TV filmization of Salomé (1893 Wilde), play, directed by Steven Berkoff. Starring Myriam Cyr (Salome) and Steven Berkoff (Herod Antipas)

Abstract

Acclaimed British actor Steven Berkoff starred and directed this stage version of Wilde’s play for the Royal National Theatre. In 1988, he had directed an interpretation of Salome by Oscar Wilde, performed in slow motion, at the Gate Theatre, Dublin. For the UK's Royal National Theatre he revived the play with a new cast at the Lyttelton Auditorium; it opened in November 1989.
