Rosi Mauskopf (F / Slovakia, 1932), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Rosi Mauskopf was born May 6, 1932 in Kolodne, Ruthenia, Slovakia (now, Ukraine), to Josef and Reisel Mauskpof. She was the youngest of their six children.

With the Hungarian occupation in March 1939, Jews were persecuted and pushed out of their occupations. In August 1944 they were deported to Auschwitz.

Rosi was one of the few to survive with two of her siblings.

In April 1948 she was among the orphans (the Schonfeld Children) send to England. In the summer of the same year she left for Canada.
