Roman Mysteries (2007-08) is a TV mini-series in 10 episodes (sound, color), directed by Paul Marcus (5 episodes, 2007), Jill Robertson (3 episodes, 2008) and Marcus D.F. Whitel.

~ Screenplay by Olivia Hetreed (3 episodes, 2007), Alison Hume (2 episodes, 2007), Robin Mukherjee (1 episode, 2008), and Barry Purchese (2 episodes, 2008), and Dom Shaw (1 episode, 2008), based on the series of children's historical novels by Caroline Lawrence.

Abstract

A series of episodes "at the time of Titus." One of the four children who are protagonists of the series, Jonathan Ben-Mordechai, is Jewish. His father and sister also appear in the series. Among the historical characters are Titus, Domitian, Pliny the Elder, Pliny the Younger, Josephus, and Berenice. Two episodes in particular deal with events related to Second Temple Judaism: The Enemies of Jupiter and The Slave Girl from Jerusalem.
