Robert Jamieson (1802-1880) was a Scottish scholar and theologian. A student at the University of Edinburgh, devoted himself to the ministry and was licensed as a preacher in 1827. A leading figure in the Scottish Church, pursued his scholarly interests with equal energy. The University of Glasgow conferred the degree of Doctor of Divinity upon him in 1848.
