Richard L. Rubenstein (1924-2021) was an American rabbi, educator and writer. Born in New York City, he studied at the University of Cincinnati, the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and Harvard University. After serving as a rabbi, he taught in religious studies at Florida State University (1970-95) and the University of Bridgeport (1995-99). Noted particularly for his contributions to Holocaust theology, he undertook a psychoanalytic study of Paul of Tarsus in his book My Brother Paul (1972).
