Qumran Studies (1957) is a book by Chaim Menachem Rabin.
Abstract
A collection of seven lectures, delivered in Durham and Manchester.
The study tested the alternative to the theory that the Dead Sea Scrolls emanated from the Essene community. It advanced the theory that the Qumran community continued the Pharisaic "haburah" of the first century BCE, and that it was closer in custom to the old haburah than is the "Rabbinic" community.
