"This 'preface' to the study of Paul attempts to make the historical figure Paul and his ancient worldview intelligible to contemporary readers, then shows how Paul constructed his own Christian view of reality within the framework that his worldview provided. Westerholm's argument broadly follows that of Paul in his letter to the Romans. Yet this book is not a commentary on the details of Paul's letter.
