Peter V. Postnikov () was a Russian scholar and diplomat. His translation of the French version of the Qur'an by André Du Ryer was the first edition of the Muslim holy text in Russian. A graduate of the Slavic-Greek-Latin Academy, Postnikov was the first Russian to become a Doctor of Philosophy and Medicine. The degree was granted to him in 1694 by the University of Padua. Italy. Postnikov worked as a diplomat, mostly in France and then after 1710, in Russia. His translation of the French version of the Qur'an by André Du Ryer was the first edition of the Muslim holy text in Russian.
